If the clicking of colored balls sets your heart beating, catch the action at the most prestigious pool event of the year, The Supremacy 8 Ball Team Open 2007. Organised by the people at NBTD [Nothing Better to Do] club, whose primary role is to promote pool and snooker as a sport to the community, this island-wide event is set to be the most talked about.

With $20,000 worth of cash and prizes to be won, The Supremacy, which began on 19th March 2007, has generated enough hype to ensure a full blast of supporters.

A total of 22 teams are currently trying to best each other in this widely-enjoyed sport; of which only 8 teams will qualify for the quarter-finals in early May. 15 outlets are involved in this adrenaline-rushed event, as they host the game night after night, each team displaying determination and intense concentration.

It's exhilarating just to watch the players as they demonstrate their skills, as strangers compete against each other, bonded only by the love of the game. Furious whispering, exchanging of dirty looks, drowning of sorrows in alcohol and disappointments are just part of the drama that takes place in such a tensed up atmosphere.

Patience is tested, and technique, or lack of, is in full display for the audience to see. The difference between years of training or just going on pure luck will be apparent; at the same time determining whether the teams will qualify for the next round or not.
